Reiki!

Honestly, I didn't think I'd be finding anything even remotely spiritual in Des Moines, but I am happy to be proven wrong. There are a couple of Meetup groups offering classes and such, one of which is Reiki I and II training for just $20. The $20 is for the manual and a certificate. The actual training, which is something like a $300 value, is free. Guess who's taking advantage? :) I'm very, very excited for this. I have been reading what I can on it via the Internet and have talked a bit about it with Troy in the past, but I have yet to experience it for myself.

In other news, I ordered a Saraswati statue for my altar. It took a bit of digging to find one that didn't look completely comical or have a tendency to scare me (don't judge!). Yet another thing I'm looking forward to. :)

Compared to my previous posts, this one is fairly short! But I suppose I can't be writing novels all the time, eh?
